John Jasper

Waiting for a table a few nights ago at Croaker’s Spot, I picked up up a pamphlet about John Jasper published Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church. The church has a special memorial room and museum to honor the memory of the founder of the church and preacher of the historic “De Sun Do Move” sermon.

Maria – So nice to know that John Jasper;’s legacy lives on in descendants who admire and remember him. I am a Richmond native and a profound admirer of your great great grandfather’s life, ministry, and deep Christian character. I’ve read everything I can find by and about him and I am sure you have too. I would love to see a revival of interest in this great man’s life. Feel free to correspond if you like at tomsims1@compuserve.com. – Tom
