Meeting to focus on revitalization and development in Jackson Ward
A public meeting focused on the community revitalization and economic development in Jackson Ward has been announced for the Richmond Convention Center on June 17, 2010 at 6PM.
The City Lights Partnership is cordially inviting all to join in a key discussion geared towards the shaping and finalizing of a strategy that will aid us as we strive to improve the quality of life in Jackson Ward and support the reclamation of its long history of vibrancy and cultural importance.
The City Lights Partnership is comprised of 5 organizations working towards the betterment of the Jackson Ward community: Adult Career Development Center, Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia, Historic Jackson Ward Association, Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority and Technology Resource Connections. This collaborative has formed a well-developed strategy of those items deemed as important to the revitalization of Jackson Ward and your input is critical to helping the partnership to identify those things you see as necessary to accomplish positive growth in both the residential and business community of Jackson Ward.
Please come prepared to hear as well as give your collective input to this process. We look forward to your attendance at the public meeting to be held on June 17, 2010, at 6:00PM at the Richmond Convention Center.

Glad to see this happening. I wish I could make the meeting tonight but I have other obligations. I am a National Guard soldier and drive by the old armory every morning going to work, I often take others by just to see the outside. I would love to see the old building turned into a National Guard Museum.
