Thursday’s Pic – Holiday on Ice

RVA On Ice opened with a bang last night. The Mayor, Santa and Nutzy were all there and so were scores of kids being shoved out onto the ice by their skateless parents. Pictures were hard to take due to the spotlights at the far corner of the rink, but the shadows they cast were interesting. My only complaint is there is no viewing stand or bleachers where parents can view their little Katerina Witts. but there was plenty of entertainment and other distractions and nobody (besides me) seemed to be complaining. I’ll post more pictures and some shaky video on Facebook soon . It was a nice night to be downtown.
