The Truck Stops Here
After talking with Nate today, I learned there never actually was a truck, but more of a food cart that caters to VCU students. The food cart continues its mission over by VCU, but Nate himself has actually stopped at 315 N 2nd St. He’s set up shop on a busy stretch of 2nd Street between Broad and Marshall at the appropriately named Nate’s Taco Truck Stop.
I love reporting on delicious places to eat right down the street. Within blocks of 2nd Street you can now get Cajun, Mexican, Cuban, Arab and Greek food. That’s in addition to the other great American and fusion restaurants up and down Broad Street.
Nate’s is a bit hard to find. Like the 3rd Street Deli it doesn’t have a strong presence on the street. That’s going to change soon, but in the meantime he is settling into his digs and getting to know his neighbors. He’s currently open from 8:30 to 3:30, Monday through Friday serving breakfast burritos to traditional tacos. So come by and say “hi”, Nate will be glad to see you.

Congrats to Nate! We are so excited to have him as a neighbor :)
YEAH NATE! Best tacos. I am so happy for you and congratulations. Thank you for being amazing at VCU, Now the rest of the world will know the Amazing Nate’s Taco!
Thanks Laura & Carla! Can’t wait to sling tacos to you guys!
Nate Dawg has the best tacos period. No one comes close to the homemade meat and veggies he places upon the delicious tortillas. This firefighter gives Nate, the “truck” and the “truck stop” two thumbs up.
Had my first Nate’s taco today…I’ll be back for more. A lot.
